About the artist

Ali (Ari) Lee is a Korean-American interdisciplinary artist based in the Bay Area. She is currently a full-time student at San Jose State University and is studying to obtain her Bachelor of Arts in Studio Practice. She has been honing her skills in two-dimensional art at a young age and continues to work in both traditional and digital mediums. The bridge of her two passions, animation and games, are what inspire certain aesthetic of her illustrations and paintings.

Lee’s work reflects the effects of internal and external factors that have shaped her today, such as nostalgic childhood experiences. Her work cultivates a sense of self-awareness, curiosity, and the unknown. Her creative works and ideas tend to be intuitive rather than premeditated.

Lee is currently exploring in visual merchandising, while working as a gallery artist and independent business owner.
